Our Commitment
Golden Gate Regional Center is part of a network of 21 regional centers in California. We serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and related conditions. We work in partnership with the State of California to deliver services and support.
SMS Consent & Communication
We will only send you text (SMS) messages if you agree to it. Your phone number will never be shared with third parties or affiliates, and we do not use your number for marketing.
Social Workers or Service Providers may also use your phone number to communicate with you by text (SMS) message about meetings and appointments. Their systems are managed separately from Golden Gate Regional Center.
Types of SMS Messages
We only use your phone number for the purpose you agreed to, such as:
- Booking appointments
- Messaging your service coordinator
- Updates about your services or communications
You will not receive marketing texts from us.
How to Opt Out
You can stop getting text (SMS) messages from us at any time by contacting your Social Worker directly by phone or email.
If you receive text messages from a Service Provider, you will need to follow their instructions to opt out, since their systems are managed separately.
Message Frequency
The number of text messages you receive depends on your needs and services. For example, you may get up to one message per month about appointments.

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your phone plan. Check with your phone provider for details.
How to Opt In
To start getting SMS messages from us, you can:
- Ask your Service Coordinator to add you
- Send a text or email to your Service Coordinator using the contact information on their business card, letters, or email signature
