GGRC has been
working with an independent survey organization, Kinetic Flow,
to better understand how well we are meeting the needs of

We recently conducted two satisfactions surveys - one on
services for persons with autism and another for people
participating in day program, volunteer or work activities.

Guidance Team
Community Comments |
GGRC is launching an effort for our local service system to
reinvent itself. To this end, GGRC will partner with key
stakeholders in our community to transform the system's
policies, practices and structure to more effectively serve
individuals and families within the values of the Lanterman Act.
As part of this process, we will be focusing on strategic
development and quality management in three particular focus
areas: (1) My Life, My Way (increasing support of self-direction
though person-centered thinking and planning); (2) Doing the
Right Thing (maximizing success in achievement of desired
public-policy outcomes for those we serve through strategic
planning and development); and (3) Doing Things Right (becoming
better stewards through efficient and transparent
administration).
We have established a Guidance
Team, which will establish the principles that will drive the
transformation process. The Guidance Team will also make
recommendations along the way about changes in how we do
business. In order to do so, the Guidance Team will be
receiving information from a variety of sources, including Task
Forces established to carry out specific tasks.
